Leeds Health and Care Partnership: Response to area SEND Inspection Report

Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission have today (18th June 2026) published their Area SEND inspection report into Leeds Health and Care Partnership.

As a partnership, Leeds City Council and NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board welcome the report. It provides an important, independent assessment of our services and a clear starting point for the next stage of improvement.

We thank everyone who has contributed to the inspection earlier this year. We are already taking steps to address many of the areas highlighted within the report, but we know that there is much more to do.

We will continue to work closely with young people, families and partners across Leeds to deliver the improvements that are needed, to make sure children and young people with SEND receive the support, opportunities and outcomes they deserve.
