A resourced provision is a mainstream school that has specialist resources to support children with SEND.
This includes children with:
- hearing and visual impairments
- physical and medical needs
- complex communication needs
- learning difficulties
Children are on the roll of and are fully included in the mainstream school, whilst receiving the specialist interventions they need for their individual needs. The entry requirements for a place in the Resourced Provision are managed by SENSAP. A place in the Resourced Provision cannot be accessed by a pupil being on the roll at the mainstream school, but only via agreement through SENSAP and an Education, Health and Care Plan
