Peeps
Who we are
Peeps is a charity that helps families when a baby has a brain injury called H.I.E. We are the only charity in the UK that focuses on this condition.
What is H.I.E.?
H.I.E. stands for Hypoxic-Ischaemic Encephalopathy. This happens when a baby’s brain does not get enough oxygen or blood around the time of birth.
In the UK, this affects about 3 to 4 babies in every 1,000 births.
Some children may need care for life. Sadly, some families may lose their baby.
