Calibre Audio
Calibre Audio is a national charity that provides over 20,000 audiobooks for people who find reading print difficult.
Membership is free for children and young people aged 0 to 25 with SEND.
Calibre Audio believes everyone should be able to enjoy books.
Their audiobooks make reading accessible for children and young people who prefer listening or cannot read printed text easily.
What Members Receive
As a Calibre Audio member, children and young people can enjoy:
- Over 20,000 audiobooks in more than 70 categories
- Over 3,500 children’s titles
- New books added every week
- Classics, bestsellers, and exclusive audiobooks recorded by volunteers
- A choice of ways to listen: streaming, download, or USB memory stick
- Newsletters, reading ideas, podcasts, and other audio content
- A friendly membership team who can help families get started
Who They Support
Calibre Audio supports anyone who struggles to see, read, handle, or understand printed text.
This includes people with:
- Autism
- ADHD
- Dyslexia
- Learning differences
- Mental health conditions
- Long COVID
- Stroke or brain injury
- Physical disabilities (e.g., MS, MND, Parkinson’s, arthritis, paralysis)
- Visual impairment or blindness
