Deaf EXperience Ltd – fun activities for deaf young people
Deaf EXperience Limited (DEX) is a charity who supports deaf young people in the Yorkshire area to meet each other and to share their experiences.
We have two different groups:
DEX Deaf Youth Hub (DDYH)- for 11 to 17 year olds. We run free activities every month in different places in West Yorkshire, where deaf young people can socialise, have fun and learn something new!
DEX Deaf Youth Council (DDYC)- for 17-30 year olds. We run free activities every month in different places (usually) in West Yorkshire, where deaf young people can socialise, have fun and learn something new!
We can also provide advocacy support to young deaf people on a range of different issues.
We run a free introduction to BSL club for deaf people under the age of 30 in 10 week blocks.
Disability: DEX welcomes anyone under the age of 30 with any level of hearing loss, using any method of communication. We provide interpreters at all our events.
