People Matters social fun group

This social group is for young people aged 16 to 29 with learning disabilities or autism.

It is a friendly place to:

  • Meet new people and make friends.
  • Choose activities with other group members.
  • Have fun and try new things.
  • Build confidence and social skills.

Activities may include:

  • Going out for meals.
  • Bowling.
  • Karaoke.
  • Playing sports and games in the park.
  • Meeting for a chat and spending time together.

The group is member-led, which means the young people who attend help decide what activities they would like to do. A monthly programme is shared so everyone knows what is coming up.

The group runs on weekday evenings and weekends, making it easier for young people to take part in activities and stay connected with friends.
