Post 16 opportunities should be thought about from year 9 onwards. There are a wealth of Post 16 opportunities in Leeds, these include sixth form provision in a school, college provision or applying to work while you study.
A school SENCo and Careers Advisor will be able to support conversations about the appropriate options available.
Each establishment has their own admissions process and its best to explore these prior to making a choice. If you have an Education Health and Care Plan your plan will name the setting which you are to attend at Post 16 – however you will still need to apply to the setting for your particular choice of course.
After sixth form or college you can choose to study or look for work.
