Swarthmore Study Programme (16 to 25 years old)
The Swarthmore Study Programme is for young people aged 16 to 25 who need extra support. It offers individual learning programmes based on real‑life experiences.
The course is full time and is for young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Learning is planned around each student’s needs, interests, and goals.
Students learn important skills such as:
- English and Maths
- IT skills
- independence skills, like travel training and making choices
The aim is to help students prepare for work, training, or further learning.
When students are ready, Swarthmore helps them find work experience and supports them while they learn new skills at work. After this, students are supported to find paid jobs or move on to further education or training.
The Swarthmore Careers Service can also help students decide what they want to do next.
