In Leeds we are aiming for an inclusive child-friendly city from the earliest point.
Early years care and education enables children to build on their early experiences and the skills they have developed at home. Many children with Special Education Needs and/or a Disability (SEND) are able to access the same types of provision that are available for all children/young people, and will not require any additional resources beyond some advice or signposting to enable them to do this. All childcare providers should be able to welcome and include children with SEND and disabilities.
