What is the Local Offer?

The Local Offer website gives information to families with children and young people who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). It covers ages 0 to 25 years in the local area.

Why does it exist?

Every local authority must publish a Local Offer. It has two main purposes:

  1. To give clear, easy-to-understand and up-to-date information about services and how to access them.
  2. To make services better by listening to children and young people with SEND, their parents and carers, and the people who provide services.
