Information for parents and carers

I am a parent or carer of a child or young person attending a Leeds setting.

Welcome to the Parent Carer Homepage for Inclusive Mainstream Practice (IMP)

In the autumn term, we launched our Leeds Inclusive Mainstream Practice (IMP) Guidance for schools and settings. Since then, schools have been exploring the guidance and taking part in training to help them use it effectively in their day‑to‑day practice.

On 23 February, we were delighted to welcome parents and carers to our IMP parent launch event at Pudsey Civic Hall. Your feedback during the workshop was incredibly valuable and has helped shape the information included on this page.

Our aim is to get this right for families, and we truly appreciate your patience as we continue to build and improve this space together.

This page will be updated regularly. Please keep checking back to see what’s new
